FAQs
Answer: As per the reports, Singer Bannet Dosanjh from Punjab has emerged as the winner of India’s first live singing reality show Rising Star by defeating another finalist, Maithili Thakur by just two votes. Where Bannet got 77% votes, while Maithili got 76% votes in the finale.
After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the way the inner truth of Bollywood started coming out through the media, after which Maithili decided not to sing Bollywood songs, in which she said “We always used to sing covers of Bollywood songs on our YouTube channel I don’t know the reason why I am stopping him now, a feeling came from inside about which I have also talked to my father. Last few days a lot of things kept coming to mind, on TV and on social media we have been constantly seeing the attitude of Bollywood. I’m on Instagram too, where the same things keep coming up over and over again. We’ve all felt the same thing too but now we’ve decided not to do what we don’t like. There is a big change in itself that Bollywood may not be aware of it yet, but this rapidly declining popularity and spreading among the people, such an environment can prove to be very fatal for them but it is a pity that Bollywood is still silent ace- Few people come and apologize but they still haven’t realized their mistake.”
That’s why she turned down some tempting offers. However, Maithili is not stopping her songs. She will continue her singing for regional folks & traditional events, but never ever for Bollywood in spite of many offers.
